The no-PPV OnlyFans strategy: does it work?

Some creators charge a higher subscription price and include all content with no PPV messages. Fans love it because they are not constantly hit with upsells. Creators love it because they do not have to manage PPV campaigns. But does the no-PPV model actually make more money? Here is the honest answer.

The case for no-PPV

The no-PPV model is a strong selling point. When a potential subscriber sees "no PPV, all content included" in your bio, it removes the fear of being nickel-and-dimed after they subscribe. Fans who have been burned by pages that send constant PPV messages are actively looking for no-PPV pages. A creator who charges $12-15/month with no PPV can convert better than a creator who charges $5-8 and sends frequent PPV.

Another advantage is simplicity. You do not have to plan PPV campaigns, write teasers, or manage follow-ups. You just post your content to your timeline and let the subscription do the work. For creators who prefer a lower-maintenance page, no-PPV is a viable option.

The case against no-PPV

The downside is that you cap your upside. A fan who would have spent $50 on PPV in addition to their subscription is now limited to the subscription price. Over time, a page with regular PPV almost always earns more per fan than a no-PPV page, because the highest-spending fans have no ceiling on what they can buy.

No-PPV also means you need to post more content to your timeline to justify the higher subscription price. If you are not posting consistently, subscribers will not renew.

The hybrid approach most creators land on

The approach that works best for most creators is a hybrid: a moderate subscription price ($8-12) with occasional PPV for premium content. Post most of your content to your timeline so subscribers feel like they are getting value, but save your best content (longer videos, themed sets, customs) for PPV. This gives you the best of both worlds: the subscription feels worth it, but you still have room to earn more from your highest-value fans.
